Last time we saw Peter Parker, he was turning to a pile of ash in Tony Stark’s hands in Avengers: Infinity War. So we were all utterly shocked when Marvel and Sony announced a sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming.
How could it possibly be that a character who died in a Marvel movie turns out to not be dead? Surely when people die in Marvel movies, they stay dead, right? Like Nick Fury when he got shot. Or like Captain America when he crashed that plane. Or like Loki three times. Or like Agent Coulson. Or Bucky Barnes. Or T’Challa. Or Pepper Potts.
We may need to watch Avengers: Endgame in April to get to the bottom of that mystery. After we’ve paid to watch Captain Marvel, the movie that will feature the character voted most likely to save the world.
After that, come July, we can watch the Spidey sequel.
Here’s pretty much everything that’s going to happen, in less than three minutes so you can get on with your day.
